26 Mar 2012 - Update Highest Rated Pain Stories Highest Rated Gain Stories Vodafail Local Facebook Page
Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

We live in Stanmore/inner west and despite the fact that vodafone have been upgrading their network in sydney, there are still noticeable blackspots both in and around stanmore, along George street west of the city towards Glebe. These are areas where they claim to ahve 100% coverage. Will not be signing up with Vodafail again once our contracts expire.

20727 Someone from Somewhere else thinks vodafone is Ultra Fail, can not fix internal issue! at 30 Jan 2012 01:25:53 AM
Wellcome to my Communications hell

Every 2-60 mins (usually random or when moving from one postcode to another) I recieve a network message from '50' to temm me what area code I'm in. In just over a Month I have over 1000 messages.

The messages produce a system message that I HAVE to either save or discard. It will interupt everythins, games movies music. Everything and anything I am doing has to stop when I get a message to I can save or discard the message.

I first contacted Vodafone a month ago (last year!!!!) to get help with the problem, and some woman (with a complete lach of technical knoweledge) explained to me that she will bar all TXT messages that are marketing and not from Vodafone.
Two days later I'm still getting the messages so I call back and try to complain. I was told a manger will call me back. To this day I have NEVER spoken to a manager anywhere in Vodafone.
I called again today (the messages keep comming) and NOW for the first time i have been put through to technical support. AND guess what, Still getting stupid messages telling me what Area Code Im in.

Ive been a Voda customer for 10 Years and I have a great deal, But when it finishes, I will happily pay more for better customer services and UK CALL CENTERS!!!!!!!!

I HATE THE EGYPTION ACCENT
31 Jan 2012 06:46:01 AM: I think the OP may be from the UK, perhaps the call centres for Vodafone UK are based in Egypt. Vodafail "Australia" has its call centres in India.

Just got 3 texts and one voicemail delivered all at once, 18hrs late. I'm sick of this company. I've had texts not delivered and not received in the past as well. (and they are the ones I know about). Constant dropouts with reception (no service & emergency calls only indicators are pretty normal for me... ) I'm not paying them another cent. Canceling my contract on Monday and will keep spreading the word about how absolutely horrible this service is. Complete rip off! I can't beleive they get away with this..still... Completel rubbish!!! - I loath this company.

Wow.

So after suffering two years of major coverage issues across the board I thought I would give Vodafone some feedback and some effort to keep myself and my partner as Vodafone customers.

I advised that I couldn't make calls from my house and that at work it was constant dropouts. Vodafone offered 20% off my partner and I's bill.

This month, we received our bills and BOTH of us had DOUBLE the charges!!! We were both appalled and when calling to complain they blamed "her facebook usage". They refuse to put our bills back to normal and seems they charged us extra to spite us for complaining.

20719 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Profiting from Pain at 27 Jan 2012 11:21:52 PM
So the latest game is: usage stats are delayed by 'up to five days'. What this means in reality is that you have no way of knowing how close you are to running over your limit (five days is a lot of space to use data).

This means that although you may think you're safe with 250mb in reserve, actually (!!) you're already over, with no way of knowing it. Then comes a week of joy as you find yourself with a bigger and bigger financial millstone around your neck, even of you were trying to be conscientious. Vodafone come on like it's hard on them having to do this upgrade, but it's surely not that hard - every dollar wasted by a trusting Vodafone user (suckers like me) is a dollar in their pockets... it's hard having to do this upgrade? Yeah right. That's the sound of filthy lucre you're hearing.
28 Jan 2012 09:37:57 AM: This is so true - it's how they make their money - they are a scam organisation. You'd cause less harm dealing crystal meth to teenages. They should be jailed, starting with those mindless execs.

Here's a positive story; http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/money/virgin-mobile-charges-like-a-wounded-bill/story-e6frezc0-1226248095035

BUT even the TIO's policy states that people are responsible for their own usage - the customer in the story only got her money back because she went to the media - Telco's don't care about you unless you're a threat to their reputations.

WHEN IS THE ACMA GOING TO FIX IT!!!!!!

Dear reader

1stly I'd like to say thank you mr brimo for bringing to light a woeful company.

I have just been told that after hemmoraging money and loosing customers due to their bad network, they have just announced that they are closing all their National mobile phone repair centers with the sacking of 120 employees.

Great! not only do they woeful customer service, Now they will have NO after sales support or repairs done locally. And worse still, 120 good willed people are going to be left in the cold.
30 Jan 2012 06:25:18 PM: Makes sense to Vodafone not to repair your phone and still charge you a monthly fee for the NO SERVICE and FAULTY reception
On top of that you pay for their BROKEN AND FAULTY mobile phones usually stuck in a two year deal.
VODAFONE,...............doing it their way!!!!!

Trying to swap from pre-paid to post paid. Its the most painful experience I've been through. I already have two numbers with them. Wanting to add a third shouldn't be that difficult. F--king Indian call centre is just another painful addition. On hold for half an hour then they tell you that you have the wrong department. 20714 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Mobile Usage Fail at 27 Jan 2012 06:44:38 AM
So we have a Telstra outage in our area affecting our adsl service, coming up to 48 hours now. As a backup (as I am an IT support Guy) I have a Vodafone 6GB pocket WiFi, which as a result of the Telstra Outage we are using quite heavily now. To ensure the 6GB cap is not exceeded, we log into the website to check our usage to be presented with <1mb used of 6GB. Knowing that this can't be right we ring Vodafone and ask what our usage is and the guy at the other end (we have trouble communicating with each other) tells us that its less than 1mb, so we tell him this cant be true and he tells us that the web site isnt working correctly so I say, "so how do we check our usage" and he says, "the updates to the site are 5 days in arrears so you will see the usage in 5 days" and I explain that we are using it heavily and dont want to exceed the cap, so he says "be careful".

20712 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Uni-Fail at 26 Jan 2012 09:17:05 PM
Vodafail is currently recruiting sales people (read: conmen/women) through an organisation that targets students. See: http://tinyurl.com/7d945kq The are planning to scam students on ALMOST EVERY UNIVERSITY CAMPUS IN AUSTRALIA (see the list under the ads for each capital city: http://tinyurl.com/82h9s8c

Their current marketing seems to be cricket, supercars, and students. I think that tricking first year uni students into signing up to Voda-Scams is unconscionable particularly because many would be unaware of the fact that their phone just won't work, and they wouldn't know about the TIO or how to get out of their contract (and wouldn't have a chance in hell of understanding the customer service operators).

If anyone knows a way of stopping this please share it, as the eduction sector is our biggest export and we should protect our customers. I have thought about writing to the treasurer but if the ACMA doesn't give a shit what are the chances of any other public servant?

Happy Australia day.

20708 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Incompetent thieves at 26 Jan 2012 10:17:46 AM
Vodafone took out the monthly auto-recharge TWICE from my account on the one day. I have wasted literally hours attempting to get my money back, via phone calls and emails. Vodafone continues to give me the run-around, eventually acknowledging that the mistake is indeed theirs, but putting up every block imaginable to prevent me from getting my refund. I am tired of being treated so contemptibly, and have filed a complaint with the TIO. Of course, by this stage I am sceptical about how effective the TIO will be in assisting me. Maybe my only hope is media coverage.
26 Jan 2012 03:38:56 PM: Let me assure you, once the TIO is advised VF do take notice!

If they do not then return to the TIO after 10 working days and tell the TIO there has not been a resolution, use your original TIO reference number.

I'm with Three and since they've merged I've had a lot of blackspot problems. Along North Terrace from King William St to Hackney Road I mostly have 'E' coverage - emergency use only.
My mother lives in the Barossa: she would regularly go for days with no coverage, be sitting next to her phone which didn't ring but went straight to voicemail. She would then see she missed a call and be able to call the person back - straight away. She would also get text messages arrive on her phone days after they'd been sent. She's now back with Telstra and has no coverage/usage problems.

have finally left!!! how funny they sent me out a survey to complete, but i never heard anything else from them cant even open my final bill cause its on their myvodafone site and my account is closed so cant log in, figure that out...

copy of what i wrote to them:

"lousy reception.

being lied to about how they were improving the network.

disorganisation, incompetence with billing, for example:

not billed for 2 months from direct debit, then billed for 3 months in one hit...

then when wanting to cancel;
1) calling and not being able to get through,
2) leaving an email on the site and not getting a reply
3) visiting a shop and being told to call the help line!!!

i then went ahead and ported my number to other provider.

then got texts and emails from vodafone saying they were experiencing a large volume of enquiries and would be getting back to me... which never happened.

then receiving abill for $150 in the text of an email but with no attachment. I tried going onto the website but of course my phone number wouldnt work as log in as it was no longer with vodafone!

so i went into the shop and asked if they could print out my bill so i knew what it was for. they couldnt log into my account either and said i'd have to call vodafone.... wtf!!!

so i call and left a message as they were too busy as usual. some guy calls back and says he'll take care of it and email my bill out within a week. 3 weeks later nothing...

so even if the service or reception was adequate, and the price more competitive, i still would not stay just due to the lack of customer service and thier ability to stuff everything up constantly!

no regrets and never coming back"
30 Jan 2012 06:37:05 PM: I empathise with you.

You know what?
they will probably send you a bill to say you owe them mega$$$$$$$$$$
I have come to the conclusion that you get the TIO to close the account .
There are many ,many, cases wher a customer has demanded their accounts closed and the customer NOservice Curry Muncher from MUMBAI has said yes it is closed.

Then you get another round of bills next month, you close it again, they say yes it is closed,THEN YOU GET ANOTHER ROUND OF BILLS!!!!!

VODAFONE MUMBAI NEEDS A NUCLEAR ASSISTANT !!!(shape of a torpedo should be fine)

20700 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is The pits at 25 Jan 2012 04:21:56 PM
I am a 62 year old who was given my first mobile phone for Christmas. It came with a $30 prepaid. I want to use an app called golf shot which uses GPS to indicate distance from the green. The app does not work but works for many others at the course I play on.

Trying to get assistance from Vodaphone is well near impossible. I'm sure their call centre is based overseas because it is much harder for people like me to complain. I will never do business with them again.

26 Jan 2012 10:24:01 AM: Without knowing which app or handset, have you checked whether there are any software updates for the app? Sometimes glitches are fixed in subsequent app software updates and it could be that your friends have already updated theirs (even automatically) so it hadn't occurred to them. I'm not sure this is a Vodafone problem, but getting your head around where the problem might be can be infruriating when it's all new. See if one of your friends can check it out - shout them a coffee or something. Alternatively, you might be able to uninstall and then reinstall (depending on what you paid for it of course). If it's the Golfshot: Golf GPS that's reasonably pricey for an app ($31.99) so you don't really want to uninstalling it without knowing what you're doing. It's had good reviews though :-)
26 Jan 2012 10:26:28 AM: Sorry, I meant to finish off by saying see if you can find a friend or a friend of a friend who knows how to install, sync and update these things. Good luck.

My phone was stolen, so naturally I called Vodafuck up so they could ban my phone from being used by the thief. I got a 3 minute call of "PRESS 1 PRESS 2" And then finally when I spoke to someone I couldn't understand a fucking word of what they were saying. Why you ask? Because they were Indian and spoke quietly. Dispite being 15 and knowing the information she treated me like an infant, Anyways after much irritation i gave her my address, the phone number and such and she said it had been banned. I then later got a call from my mother claiming that my phone had called her when it was MEANT TO BE BANNED. So I called them back and asked them to not lie and actually do it, and the same woman said "sorry we need the actual account holder to verify". As i said before, I had everything including the IMEI. Fucking useless.

got 2 months left in my contract. I have always paid my bills on time even though I never got any of the service promised in writing on a contract that is on the same level of used toilet paper. Was ok for the first 3 weeks but then went crap. The phone I was told was a great, reliable handset which I later find out was taken off shelve due to being completely faulty. I asked for a swap for a more reliable phone and was asking for the HTC desire hd as my mate had one and had no issues at all with it. Since the phone I had was 900 dollars on the shelf I didnt see there being an issue.anyway I had to send it in for repairs 3 times before they would swap. Anyway when I got it back the second time it didnt work at all. After many calls I had enough and called the ombudsman to which they said they would swap my handset. When I went into the store to trade as directed. I was told by the staff that they didnt have the right within vodafone to swap my phone. They called customer care then got back to me saying that they can do it but I can only pick a phone that was within my handsets computer price which only gave me 230 dollars at most. Anyway After arguing my point, I made my choice. The new phone is still a waste. Not the phone itself but the service. When I was living in melton vic the service was shit. Before I moved back to adelaide I rang vodafone to see what it was like here and they told me that adelaide has just had a heap of work done in the areas I mentioned and that signal was terrific. Well here I am with my long ass rant, I cant use my handset at all and refuse to pay any bill. I rang them again to tell them that and they tell me that my location is set for a new tower at the start of march. So sick of hearing that they are putting a new tower in my area. Anyway they gave my the next a months off from bills but It still dont help the fact that 000 couldnt understand me when I cought a few junkies trying to break into my house. Vodafone can deepthroat a shotgun for all I care. Heading to telstra.

Mobile broadband on the 3 network is woeful, as if the shared 3/Telstra network is gradually being shutdown. So far I've receieved no formal notification from VHA that services are being shutdown, yet they charge me $29 per month for a poor service (2Mb uploaded to Carbonite in 10 mins). Normal internet response times are poor too, especially when compared with my ISP.

Will the TIO listen to me if I wanted to be released from the 3 Mobile Internet contract?

20685 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is BADLY at 23 Jan 2012 09:00:50 PM
I would like to complain about Vodafone to all users and watch out

I last year changed from 3 to Vodafone as 3 was taken over by Vodafone

I have been a customer for 2 years with 3 and have been on cap 19 dollars with 3 phones

All my bills have been paid on time and there was no problem except for customer service

which was directed to Mumbai Orbit call centre and as usual you had to wait hours for service

But that isn't my complain, when I changed to Vodafone everything was handed by Vodafone with direct debit

including change of address as I had moved

Changed over 2 phones on the 19 dollar cap and and one phone on pre-pay and an additional phone

with pre-pay

As the contract got over with 3 asked customer service to stop direct debit to 3

This was in March 2011

In December 2011 Vodafone issued an credit report on with my bank and put a black mark on my credit history

My bank has put me on the black list due to this I explained that all my bills are paid and I can't understand why they are doing this to me

After speaking many times to customer service in Indian call centre they were not in the least interested to help me

and said it is not their problem

I told them that they could have at least informed me as I have given a change of address and changed

Looks like 3 was sending all bills to old address

and also to 3 mobile numbers even when I have changed them to vodafone numbers

They even sent a Debt recovery team after me

Due to that there was a lot of stress this Christmas and after speaking to my bank it still isn't resolved

I have even paid all outstanding arrears but

THIS IS TO INFORM ALL ABOUT VODAFONE IT IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY

After this contract I shall withdraw all services with VODAFONE.
6 Feb 2012 03:32:19 PM: Same thing has happened to me!! Homeloan finance rejected because of these morons and I cnanot get it removed. Exactly the same - despite changing my details on the phone with them and paying out the balance they cant find this record, nor my account details etc. At least you received something from a debt collector - my outstanding amount was discovered when finance was rejected! I got nothing!!!!! I hate them with a passion.Dishonest!!

20682 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Coverage is WORST OF THE WORST at 23 Jan 2012 10:18:12 AM
I've just migrated to Sydney. I didn't think Vodafone was that bad since I live in Potts Point. Vodafone is TERRIBLE! I signed up for x1 phone plan, x1 broadband 12GB plan and SamTab 10.1 12GB plan. Don't make the stupid mistake I made and sign with Telstra instead...
Internet is really bad! There is no point of having 12GB of internet when you can't use the internet in the first place. I have a Telstra account too as I have a work phone and a work laptop with broadband. The difference is clear... Telstra NEVER fails. Calls are great quality and internet (for mobile internet) - SUPERB! Vodafone - VodaFail!!! Calls will drop on you... Internet - when you're lucky... I always wait for the "H" coz if it's "3G" or "E" it will just not connect at all. When in "H", again if you're lucky since it is still super slow - and this is just to go on google.com!

I've had this problem for a few months now and despite their promise of better network, I just can't believe it! I'm in the middle of SYDNEY! smack right in the middle!!! If they don't have could coverage here, what more in, say Parramatta? SHOCKING!

I would leave if I could, if only I didn't tie down myself to a 24-month contract. Next time - definitely TELSTRA all the way!

Vodafone just decided to sign me up to a contract for 24months without asking me. Would have been great service if I was needing an over priced contract but unfortunately all I needed was to cancel my every thing and move to a company who have some slight idea on how to legally operate a business.
After 3hrs on the phone and a complaint to the ombudsman I have been released from my imaginary contract on the condition I send my phone back. I asked 'how is my old phone any use to you' and recieved the answer,
'it's not', they just want me to send it back so they can put it in the bin and I don't get any use out of it.
Stella work Vodafail.

I was completely stuffed up after getting 2 iphones on $59 plan. Sales guy over the phone told me I get a very good coverage which was a big big lie.I never got any coverage and which was finally admitted by Vodafone.Took 7 days for my no. to be ported over and finally start of harrassment ever since my no. got transferred. Very very bad voice quality and coverage.G
Finally managed to cancel my contract and agreed on an maount to be paid if disconnected before a certain date which I did but than they again billed me next month. Logged a case with TIO and demanding compensation now for all the harrassment and loss of time and money I have been through.Got a call from Vodafone after 10 working days and the case officer said,we will release your no from vodafone and waive off your exit fee. That was very funny, I tiold this lady to check my account and see that my no. is already released from vodafone and exit fee waived off. She didn't even check my details before calling. No talk about my 2nd bill and just said we can't offer any compensation and I just told her that thanks for the call,I'll take this up further with TIO.

I get very little network, lots of call drop outs. But another problem I have I had is they did not send me any bill (neither by e-mail or postal mail)for last 4 months. I did not check my account as I thought they are direct debiting it and now they sent me the bill for $722. I called them and they said they had a technical problem and computer did not generate my bill for last 5 months. Now they sent me bill for 5 months. Already sick from their network I asked the operator to put me to disconnections. He said they are closed now and said someone will call me back. When no body called back I called vodafone again and asked to talk to some one to disconnect the service and I waited 35 minutes them I gave up and hanged up the phone and reported it to Telecom industry ombudsmen.I really want to move to a better carrier like Telstra or even optus.
25 Jan 2012 06:14:07 PM: Try Amaysim or TPG. They are both on the Optus network anyway which leaves Vodafail for dead, but Amaysim is a breath of fresh air for their billing, pricing and ease of dealing with.
I had exactly the same issues with V for overbilling, bills turning up after account closed, you name it. The call centre is a joke, when it all got too hard they just hung up. Its like a hand in your pocket all the time pulling out $100 notes with this provider. They are hopeless and disgraceful. The sooner they fold and put their customers out of their misery the better

Since I closed off my mobile broadband account 2 1/2 years ago, I have been $27.10 in credit on my account.
I attempted to call customer service to close the account off properly and have the amout refunded however the overseas call centre operator just laughed at me. Very professional.
So now every month I recieve an account statement saying that I'm $27.10 in credit and that there is nothing to pay this month.
At my estimate of $2 per letter I have been sent, it would have saved the company over $30 (and going up each month) if the rude call centre operator had just issued the refund in the first place.
I'm in no hurry to call back.........

20669 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Plain Terrible at 21 Jan 2012 03:19:24 PM
First of all I get very dodgy coverage in my area, though that's not the problem I recently faced. Last week I brought in my phone to my local Vodafail store as the power button was not working and therefore I couldn't turn my phone on after the battery ran out. I walked up to a lady, I think she was a young manager because she told one of the employees to "go to lunch". Now I expect reasonable customer service from anyone let alone a manager, but she did not seem interested at all. She asked for my phone and did something on the computer then said she'll send it away to get fixed. I had to ask all the questions to know what the hell was going on. How long will it be? 2 weeks or so
Do I get a replacement phone? No. Can I cancel the contract? If you pay out the remaining 7 months you can upgrade. Will my stuff be saved? No we will wipe everything. The way she spoke to me, the lack of friendly service put me right off. Not happy but I let it slide.
Now I get there 1 week later (not too bad a timeframe) and she says they "can't fix it as it has water damage which also means it voids the warranty". OMG I could scream right now! I have never let this phone go near water EVER! and she says it could be as simple as mist from the shower or sweat from being in your pockets. That is utter BS and you know it lady! I very rarely bring the phone into the bathroom and would find it uncomfortable to workout or do something to work up a sweat with a phone in my pocket!

Long story short. I migrated from 3. Was apprehensive and should have listened to my gut, but I was offered a 59 dollar cap with a free iphone. I have received 3 bills, each charging $10 for the iphone.
I have called them 6 times. At first I was called a liar and that I had it wrong, it took three days and two more conversations to get them to admit to fault. I was assured that I would receive a $20 dollar credit immediately on my account for the current bill and the previous and would only be debited the reviewed amount from my credit card. They didn't apply the credit and I was debited the full amount, I call again. This time to be told that I should have been credited and that they are unable to do it. Another department would need to do this the following day.
I have now received my third bill. No credit on my account and still being over charged. I want out!
22 Jan 2012 09:39:21 PM: All I can say is "Thanks".
I was with Orange from 2002 until 2006 when I moved onto Three. Service was solid.
I am still on "Three" and have been assured a great deal etc. etc.
I had also heard that the service quality would improve...
Your post shows that things are still no better then my overcharging, transferring experience.

20653 Someone from WA thinks vodafone is worked in vodafone for 1.5years in world at 20 Jan 2012 01:22:31 AM
I have worked with Vodafone as a company for nearly a year and a half. Loved Vodafone in nz the systems and plans might be different but essentially it is the same company. With the same goals to be the best total telecommunications company over the world. But Vodafone wa managers are on their own agenda and making up excuses to get rid of you if you make any query or question about anything. And also threaten you to fire you if you don't come to meetings and then make up some bullshit story that they were talking to a casual when there was no casual in the room at the time just to cover there own arse. Then also use being 5 min late a few times over 4 weeks which everyone else is in the store also if not even more so to get rid of you. Not a open workplace at all and if Vodafone is really working honestly on nps scores in wa not one person in the WA city stores except 2 are actually on that scale because of the poor area managment and store management( which of the 2 are not management on the company in this state. If asking questions about policys in company is a crime then why would I want to work.in this company here. Specialy when.in the 3 month I worked for the company I was top of fulltime sales and new to the vha aus company for the store even got gifts from customers which I didnt see anyone else in the store getting at all. Vha Australia if you want to make it in Western Australia then you need to learn that its about the customers and helping them and for them to know they can rely on you to come back to you otherwise what's the point of sending all and I.mean ALL your technical issues to a person in Mumbai because managers are too lazy to.train.staff of how to fix simple issues like software conflicts. I bet if.you went into a Vodafone WA store maybe 1 or 2 people would know about the global Vodafone site which takes 5minutes for you to help a customer to download. I'm so dissapointed in vha Australia because of the experiance ove had here that I don't even want to work for company here anymore. If being honest in telling someone to just do there job and standing up to people that like to threaten people and lie is bad then I wouldn't want to work for or trust as a customer either. If you hire Muppets then you get issues. And 6-9months down the track when your realise this manager you thought highly.of is a probably a thief. Yes I will stand there with a big fat I told you so. My character judgement is 95 percent correct. Voda you def failed on this getting rid of one of your actual nps promoters for a company if 99percebt of a team don't even know in WA that the founder of Vodafone is from Italy and visits every Vodafone branded company over the world yearly then are you really training your staff.. seriously its basics
23 Jan 2012 12:27:09 AM: And then straight after getting rid of me like not even a hour later they drive down and threaten my partner who works for the company. Which we kept secret and manager blurted out as i was handing keys over. Awesome work Perth HR....

20648 Someone from TAS thinks vodafone is discombobulated at 19 Jan 2012 05:11:47 AM

Having been recently terminated from my place of employment after nearly
7 years of service at the Vodafone Contact Centre at Huntingfield Kingston.

I am going to stand outside the gates of the contact centre with a
sign "I would not treat my dog the way I have been treated" I would
bring my dog Jessica as well for company and to
obviously make my point in regards to the way I have been treated.

Exposure to Vodafone's behavior I believe needs to be exposed and I believe would
bring forward many others who have been unfairly treated.

My aim is to make others that work there aware that even with union
support their jobs are not safe from Vodafone's manipulation to have
your place of employment terminated.
My self and others have been I believe unfairly dismissed recently. I
believe that it has something to do with the contact centre being moved
totally offshore to Mumbai in India in the not to distant future. So
that Vodafone does not have to pay huge sums of money for redundancy
packages for staff that have been there long term.

My stand against Vodafone continues with an unfair dismissal hearing due
at the end of this month.
21 Jan 2012 05:49:46 PM: How did you and Jessica go with your rant?
25 Jan 2012 07:16:46 AM: What were their reasons for terminating your employment?
25 Jan 2012 09:00:34 PM: He won't reply because he is weak!!
26 Jan 2012 04:44:25 PM: Go for it and good luck to you and every Vodaphone employee in the same position.
The reasons are unimportant. If it has been unfair dismissal get every cent you are owed and then some.
26 Jan 2012 05:19:38 PM: As an ex employee, I know how voda rock n roll. I'd say you are one of MANY going for unfair dismissal, did you know they have never won an unfair dismissal trial? Gotta love the politics at Kingston. Good luck to us getting what we deserve and showing how voda DO NOT live up to their alleged values

20647 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is The worst at 18 Jan 2012 11:07:24 PM
I live in the western suburbs of Sydney and am suffering constant call drop outs, delayed voice mail, SMS and MMS messages. Also have alot of problems logging onto 3G especially around Parramatta. Also my iphone4 was stolen recently, it was replace by Vodfail as I am insured, but was told I have to pay an excess of $225, just for a bloody phone that costs $15 to make!! Plus I am paying off the phone that was stolen, $32 a month plus the cost of my $45 so called "infinite cap". Vodafone have failed to acknowledge my complaint, so I have now complained to the NSW Telecommunications Ombudsman. I suggest you all do the same.
19 Jan 2012 05:10:25 AM: haha you went to the Telecommunications ombudsman because insurance has an excess?
thats the way the world works, and its the policy of the insurance company, which you should have read before signing up for it. And you cant expect to not have to pay for something just because you lost it. Its not their fault you had your phone stolen.
19 Jan 2012 03:22:06 PM: Take some personal responsibility rather than complaining and looking for entitlements. You have no one else to blame but yourself for not reading and understanding your insurance contract. Time to ask yourself what are my personal responsibilities rather than what are my entitlements.
21 Jan 2012 01:43:12 PM: I couldn't have said it better. The comment above is spot on, insurance and excess go hand in hand.

20646 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Extremely Poor at 18 Jan 2012 08:39:46 PM
Tried to call a Telstra shop from queen street to finders street station. Nothing failed calls. So switched to flight mode, phone on and off kept trying. By now blood boiling!!! Finally richmond station could make a phone call!!! It's the tennis but it still isn't good enough! Off to Telstra tomorrow. I really feel sorry for the Vodafone employee that tells me I have to pay out my contract.... Good luck!

20645 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Coverage hasnt improved at 18 Jan 2012 04:32:55 PM
Vodafone say they are rebuilding their network and investing billion dollars to upgrade; well HELLO its not working on the northern beaches of sydney. I am a loyal customer of Vodafone's for over 10 years and if anything the coverage in my house, front & backyards has gotten worse, constant call drop outs, unable to send sms or connect to the intranet. Which part of Sydney are you upgrading, cause there's nothing happening on the NORTHERN BEACHES for years. Are you upgrading this year? next month? Please tell me

20644 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Its misleading advertising & pathetic coverage problems at 18 Jan 2012 02:59:59 PM
Up graded from 3 mobile to Vodaphone. I was told the coverage was a little different but after there friendly staff assured me i would get coverage nearly every where, i signed up... From the word go it was nothing but trouble. In the 2 weeks ive been with them ive rang Tech support 9 times. Last straw whas when my daughter was carted off to hospital from a seizure and i couldnt reach her father to tell him.. Had enough of paying for a service i couldnt use and when i really needed it as well. I told them i wanted out of the contract and they said would i stay if i could go back to 3mobile so i said yes and as i type i am waiting for them to switch me back to 3. If you are stuck with a crap product & service that dosent suit you-you can get out of it- give it your best shot, i did and will be happy very soon. Thanks for reading and good luck-you need it....Never again will i go any where near Vodafone and will tell every one else as well...

20642 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is EPIC! at 18 Jan 2012 01:08:35 PM
Decided to bring my partners phone acroos from another carrier to my existing account with Voda. Old account dropped out at 12:30pm Sunday, number did not reconnect with Vodafone until 12:30pm TODAY! Numerous calls to the activiations teams resulted in being told it is being fixed, please just wait another 24 hours. Partner has a serious medical condition and was left without a phone for 3 days. Finally couldn't take anmore this morning after being patient and giving them every chance, and launched a tirade - seems to have worked! Constantly being told there is no way to manually overide their porting system for a stuck number and manually connect the number - Voda get your act together with porting, in this day, age and technology it just shouldn't happen!!!!

i am on a package of $29 per month for mobile dial and recieve which also sometimes sms which suppose to be within the limits of my package, and i have been paying the $29 every month for nearly a year, this month i recieved a bill for over a 100 dollars and when i inquired about it they said i have gone over my limit with data, i have never connected my mobile to the net or used it for recieving or sending data, through the inquiry the indian person that was talking to me from overseas was nearly saying pay it or else, so i got upset and threaten to ask my lawyer to sue voda phone and that is when i got a response from him putting his supervisor on which immediately said we will cancel this charge it was a mistake

20640 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is SO OVER IT!!! at 18 Jan 2012 08:05:24 AM
Long story short, bill was due 5th Jan, had been paid plus credit on the 29th Dec. Vodafone deactivated my account due to high usage within the next billing period which hadnt even finished yet on the 3rd Jan and demanded payment for a that bill I hadnt even received yet. Have been ringing to try to sort out and told systems are down so have been unable to use my phone for over 2 weeks. Finally get thru and told all fixed only to find I can't receive any calls or sms'.
I'm so over having to repeat myself to customer service or ask them to.

20639 Someone from SA thinks vodafone is very at 18 Jan 2012 08:03:51 AM
signed a 12 month pocket wifi plan in september 2011. Worked well for one month and then nothing, or too little to do anything. Thought it might be my laptop, so got another one. Still barely registering. Vodafone unsympathetic because that plan means I share connection with up to 4 others. I work odd hours, so have tried connected at many different times with the same result! Am very disappointed, disatisfied and out of pocket for the next 7 months for a service I am not receiving from a provider who couldn't care less!

I can always tell when the person you are calling is on vodaphone , the call almost inevitably drops out 3 or 4 times during the conversation. I always ask "are you with vodaphone?" , it costs me w bomb in reconnection fees, I now try avoid calling any one I know who is on vodaphone due to the increased cost of reconnection

20635 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is ROGUES at 17 Jan 2012 06:17:21 PM
I CAN NOT BELEIVE WHAT THIS IMBICILE FROM VODAFONE COMMUNITY IS SAYING TO THIS YET TO BE CUSTOMER.

I went to Chadstone's Vodafone outlet this afternoon for a $29 Cap, 12 months plan with Nexus S. And I was declined because of my employment period. The agent informed me that it was declined because it needs to be employed for at least 6 months.

Hi Raihan,

I apologise, I am unable to offer assistance as you did not meet Vodafone's credit criteria, however, you are more than welcome to re apply after 60 days from when the last credit check was performed.

In the mean time have you considered having a friend or family member apply for you? After 60 days, you can then have the service transferred into your name if another credit check is successful.

Thanks,

Cait

19 Jan 2012 08:46:51 AM: And the issue is?

I am sure Voda use a central credit agency.

THink this complaint is a dud one...sorry. No issue here
19 Jan 2012 12:48:25 PM: THE ISSUE IS DRASTICALLY OBVIOUS!!!!!!!!
What this caitlin staff member of Vodafone Community is basically saying is, Year sure,.. you cant be approved for credit.get some other stupid FOOL to apply for credit and apply for a contract service, in the friend or family member's name,
THE SERVICE WILL ABSOLUTELY FAIL.The friend or family member gets stuck in a Vodafone mess, with no guarantee that the original POSSIBLE applicant(Raihan) will get approved for credit, even want the transfer, or even want the service after Vodafone fails it's service obligations.NOT MAY BE, IT WILL!

WHAT A RECEIPE FOR DISASTER FOR THE FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER!!!!
20 Jan 2012 06:05:17 PM: You are WRONG!! This staff member did nothing wrong! You're just an idiot who obviously doesn't know anything about credit checks or contracts or polite customer service.
21 Jan 2012 08:54:15 PM: Can the name calling now cease please.

Vodafail.com Moderation Team
22 Jan 2012 12:55:44 AM: Seconded, don't shoot the messenger! She is politely telling you that the imbeciles from corporate management don't want your money because they don't know enough about you and think you are a credit risk. Vodafone is unnecessarily strict about this. So if you don't like that, go elsewhere.

A TIP FOR LONG SUFFERING PEOPLE USING LARA 1555
READY TO SAVE YOURSELF BETWEEN 30-60 MINUTES.
OK.
HOW TO JUMP THE CUE.

1When you call 1555 the robot "LARA" will answer with prompts.
2.Ignore her and say 'CUSTOMER SERVICE'
she will say 'I didnt quite get that we will try again.'
Ignore her.
3.Say 'CUSTOMER SERVICE' she will say the same thing again or simular
4.After her stupid prompting again say 'CUSTOMER SERVICE'
5.She will try you out again, just say 'CUSTOMER SERVICE'
6.After about 6-8 of 'CUSTOMER SERVICE'from you she will give in.
7.YAY!!! she will say 'I will transfer you to a customer service right away.'
BINGO!!! That's at least 30minutes saved without the torture and pain.

After that you get an Indian Vodafone Rep from MUMBAI.
MAY GOD HELP YOUR SOUL!!!!!
2 Feb 2012 12:16:12 PM: They are just doing their Job. If Vodafone Australia does get it right you won't need to talk to the Indian Guy..

20632 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is VodaData Fail!!!!! at 17 Jan 2012 05:21:40 PM
This mobile broadband theirs (either 3G or new HiSpeed?) just keeps petering out. There are definitely peak traffic issues that the Vodapeople have failed to address with their new network "upgrades" that happened "before" Christmas. I have CONSTANT DNS Lookup failures, server time-outs, browser time-outs and so on. The LATENCY in Voda mobile broadband around 5:00pm onwards is downright ridiculous. The people in their Aussie Voda-shops don't know, their Indian Voda-helpdesks are out of touch and there is no-one in the whole of Vodafone Australia who seems to be approachable on these issues. Telstra's expensive mobile BB offering is still too rich for me so I continue and suffer at the hands of the Vodafolk...... GRRrrr!!!

20631 Someone from Somewhere else thinks vodafone is Mobile broadband at 17 Jan 2012 05:10:51 PM
I received an email today from Vodafail stating that the time I had to recharge my prepaid mobile broadband has now been changed from 395 days to 90 days now. And that the 90 days from which I haven't recharged will be in 10 days time. The mobile broadband was purchased when I was living in Darwin and was virtually useless there but I figured that it would work when I eventually went back home to Melbourne. I am in England at the moment and have been here for 3 months hence why it hasn't been recharged for nearly 90 days now. I won't be back in Australia (Melbourne) until the 2nd of Feb so there's no point in getting it recharged until then but now Vodafail are telling me that the mobile broadband will be cancelled if not recharged in 10 days time. I just don't see how they can change the rules on the service, reduce the amount of time between recharges by 300 days and then give me 10 days notice.

When I was younger I remember all the fights I use to have with telstra.
They are angels compared to VODAFONE.
Hutchison Vodafone Australia is not fit to hold a Licence to operate their network in Australia.
