Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

4302 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is No No No NO! at 27 Dec 2010 05:49:40 PM
I think waiting on hold for over 40 minutes, then to have your call answered by a clearly Indian person with an overworked Aussie accent is appealing and disgusting, then to be advised that they could not fix the problem I was having right away, and that I'll have to call back in an hour or so to have the issue even considered for correction is a customer service crisis.
Finally, after another phone call and this time over 50 minutes on hold, I was told that somebody would call me back in an hour or so to help me further.. so I waited for the return phone call, and about 4 hours later and nearly 10pm Sydney time, I received a phone call.... and surprise, surprise, the best solution to my problem was to go into a Vodafone store and the staff there can help me!
This is outrageous, shocking and most of all disgusting!
I'm contracted to stay with Vodafone for 8 more months, and would NEVER CONSIDER USING THIS CARRIER EVER AGAIN!!!!!

OMG i have been having troubles with vodafhone since i signed up with them. Every call i make i have drop outs. i have gone to my vodaphone store and have complained and they say there is a problem with my phone. My phone has been "repaired" 3 times and i have only had it since July. As they blame the phone they won't even replace it. thanks to you i now know it's a VODAFONE problem not my brand new phone.

4286 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Consistently bad at 27 Dec 2010 05:46:39 PM
I have been with Vodafone since about 2004 and this past year have received the absolute worst customer service. Not to mention the next to no reception when at home. I can barely use my mobile broadband and have never had better reception then "poor" and that's a good day. Most days I'm so frustrated I give up and wait till I get to work and do whatever I can in my breaks. Meanwhile I'm paying $80 per month for my phone and $39 per month for my internet. It's rubbish.

4285 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Gone majorily downhill at 27 Dec 2010 05:46:38 PM
Since moving to Syd from Melb and over the last 6mths the service and coverage has gone downhill considerably. I'm often having to turn off 3G just to make a phone call and on one occasion with full bars, I couldn't make a call or receive any calls. I have tried to contact Vodafone 10 times (low number because of giving up trying), getting through only 4 times, of which 3 I was hung up on straight after saying my name. Generally the wait was up to 30mins, didn't stay any longer on the phone to find out how long. I have had brilliant service in the past, but in the last 6mths it is the worst I have ever had. I'm glad to have changed providers and I not planning to ever go back!

For at least the last two weeks I have had 1 bar of service "if any service at all" I could be basically be standing next to the mobile phone tower and I still dont get any more than one bar.

This is unacceptable. I have been thinking of leaving Vodafone as they really dont seem to be up to scratch. I have not bothered to call them as I get fed up having to speak with a automated person. So annoying......

I believe that Vodafone customers should be compensated in some one as we are still being expected to pay and not getting 100% back from Vodafone......

Thanks

I have a pre-paid to test out services on all major providers & Vodafone used to be great in Brisbane & not quite as good as Optus & Telstra were useless & had awful service as well but since moving to NSW from Brisbane I have found & more so in the past 3mths that my Vodafone service is non-existant! All my calls drop out, people do not receive my sms & also my credit seems to be used when I haven't even used all my sms including free ones! I recommended Vodafone to all I know & found their customer service 2nd to none... but shame their mobile service is non-existant & costing me hard earned $! Even when Telstra called me on occasion to try & lure me over, I'd used to say - please do not ever call me again as your services are way too expensive & a rip off & remove me from your database!

Poor coverage (I have to go outside the house to make a call!!!), poor customer service, my cap charge is almost always exceeded even though I don't use the bloody thing as much as when I first signed up to the plan. I don't know how many people I've warned off using Vodaf??? but it must be in the dozens. Can't wait till my plan expires and I will stick with Optus (I now have an account with them because of Vodaf??? useless coverage.)

I run a concrete and landscaping business and totally rely on my mobile. I was a telstra customer and moved over to vodaphone after being told that the reception where I lived was excellent. Since then, I have had nothing but problems and it has cost me dearly in missed calls from potential customers or potential quotes. When I approached vodaphone, they keep telling me to be patient as they are upgrading the system. It has been over 12 months now and I am fed up

4261 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Crap! at 27 Dec 2010 05:43:01 PM
I am paying good money each month for broadband coverage only to not be able to connect to the internet for at least 60% of the time. When the connection drops out, they still deduct from my allowance for the month. On querying this with their call centre many times, they informed me that I would have to open up my connection so that their staff could gain control of my PC and alter my settings - Just how stupid do these clowns think I am to allow a stranger access to my PC in 2010??

Further whinges have to come from the fact that I paid to have my phone unlocked, only for the code not to work and for them claiming that I still need to pay them - again what is with this paying for non existent service?

A family member of mine is also visiting from abroad and bought a Vodafone prepaid pack, only to have minimal coverage over the past week - this in the middle of Sydney.

Shocking - shocking - shocking that these muppets have not been kicked up the bum ages ago.

I live in the south west in Camden and can't get reception in my house. We both have company mobiles with Optus and Telstra and we have full coverage... So please explain what the problem is? I have just read many of the posts from here and it looks like an ANTI LABOR vote on the Daily Telegraph.I cant believe you people. The majority of you are in Metro Sydney and have had more problems that The Labor Party & The Liberal Party put together.
I suggest that you 'roll with the punches'.Try using Telstra Next G or maybe even Floptus....neither of them work out here in rural NSW and we cant even activate Telstra GSM,so why are all you people that live in BIG country or metro towns whinge and complain.
Admittedly Lara is a pain in the BUTT,but this is part of Vodafones operations.Instead of putting your CRAP onm here go to Vodaphone and give them your mouthful....you are just a heap of whingers and wont do anything at all,BUT whinge, whinge whinge,so get of your butts get off your keyboard and send an email to Vodafone and make sure that they get the message......

4213 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Pathetic, Horror experience at 27 Dec 2010 05:34:29 PM
It took nearly 2 weeks to receive the product because it was sent to a distribution centre outside my area. 3G coverage at my home close to centre of Tweed Heads is one bar or less. I phoned Vodafone about reception; phone call took 1 hour 15 minutes, They would look into reception problem & get back in under 72hrs.No they didn't. I phoned twice over 6 days only to be told the service could not be improved in my area.(web sites shows excellent coverage along the coast) I told them I wanted to cancel the service & I was told a return bag would sent to me. Once they received the device my account would cease. Over 2 months latter I received the return bag. I don't know how many hours I spent on the phone to them to finally get the bag. Although I wasn't using the device and had cancelled the service I was still being billed. Vodafone kept telling me the bag had been sent, kept telling me they would get back to me. When I finally posted the device back I kept receiving bills. Vodafone kept telling me they hadn't received the device. I eventually had to find out from Aust post when the device was delivered and tell Vodafone where and when it was delivered. I no longer receive paper bills but I received an email bill last month which was in credit.(4 mths from the beginning of the horror experience now) I have never dealt with a company with such poor customer relations. I spent literally hours on the phone waiting to speak to customer service. Never again will I have anything to do with Vodafone.
Tips for dealing with Vodafone.
Use a handsfree phone when calling them, you can do other things while you are put on hold.
Card games,Free cell and patience are good to fill in the time.
Hands free cordless speaker phone would allow you to go make a cup of tea or get something to eat from the kitchen.
Keep your cool because if you lose it they may hang up on you & you will have to call back and be on hold an hour or so.
Remind them there is a Telecommunication Ombudsman you will contact if you don't get results.
Keep a record of all you phone calls to them, dates and times and results.
Persistance is the only way you will win. I hope you have plenty of time to waste on the phone.
Best wishes
Robert

reception is very ordinary, messages can take hours to receive, when wishing to complain or ask questions its either an automated system that steers you where Vodafone wants to put you or alternatively a person with an accent in a foreign country that English is not the primary language, then has trouble understanding me and me them! When I have been fortunate enough to speak to someone that can speak AND understand English fluently they can't help me but are happy to transfer me into the system, see previous gripe re. automated system, the bottom line VODAFONE is customer service, you have chosen to put profit before customers so prepare for the anal intruder care of Karma and many disgruntled Vodafone customers.

They charged me an extra $30 for no apparent reason about 2 months ago.

I will never direct debit with these guys- who knows how much extra they'd charge me if i didn't check my bill?!

I resolved this issue, except I had to call Customer Care- with the usual annoying hiccups you get when calling another country...

My suggestion to vodafone would be to make their Customer Care Australian, and to upgrade their software so that basic data entry doesn't f#@$ up our bills.

Additionally my iphone all to often says searching and then I have to attempt texts or start up the IE browser. After 10 years of using Voda in the city, I moved to a country location and was assured that the service was advanced enough to facilitate my move.........well it wasn't. I'm in a major country town, 1 bar reception if any, 3 days to receive text messages, and to top it, I had the stupidity to sign up for a two year contract on theit 3G broadband offer. Download speeds were worse than my old dial up account on a landline. That was of course when there was no cloud cover, let alone a storm. Then, I had no reception at all, sometimes for days. I am now out of that internet deal, and after 12 years of faithful phone customership, I will be moving my accuont to someone else soon.

Now dont even get me started on the appaling so-called customer service, with that Lara autobot.........the amount of times I have been hung up on simply because the autobot cannot understand my inquiry. If at some astonishing time I do get to talk to a human, its someone that had little experience in actually speaking the English language.

They keep saying it is my pc, but doing a speed check at their request showed my pc could easily handle the supposed 7mbps they said they provided. It is also for every dropping out or coming to a standstill. My wife and i had a prepaid Vodafone mbb modem, it was always slow and unreliable, but mid november it became really bad, after many phone calls and being told a different story everytime, we had had enough. We went to our local vodafone outlet and demanded our money back (the cost of the modem, plus the $150 credit we just bought) We were refused, so i went to every customer in the store and told them what i thought about vodafone, then stood out the front of the store and advised people not to spend their money on vodafone.
I then went to the main vodafone store in Wollongong, same story, again i told all the people in the store not to spend their money here, then went out the front advising people not to go inside.
Two days later after many more phone calls we went back to Wollongong, they refunded us $199, i think they were happy to get rid of us. Eventually they admitted to us the problem could take upto 6 months to fix. We don't care now as we have changed to a different service that works all the time.

4167 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is No service coverage at 27 Dec 2010 05:29:35 PM
I have been with Vodafone for some 14 years, and stupidly signed up again (renewed contract) around September 2010 this year. As part of the contact I received a new 3GS I phone 3. Since this time I have experience untold service problems, with poor to no service, no internet access and failed message services, all within the Sydney metropolitan area and my home address. I am an emergency resource worker who requires reliable phone service. I attended and made numerous complaints to the Vodafone Liverpool Westfield store, where they sent me to Apple on four occasions replacing a brand new I phone three times, and yet still I have poor to no service coverage. The issues are not with the phone but Vodafone network services. The personnel in the Vodafone store advise me each time that they are experience network problems, but this clearly breaches the contract by not supplying a reliable mobile service. This problem has been ongoing for four months, and it is my opinion that Vodafone have breach the contract.

I'm a pre-paid customer. Can someone please explain what free vodafoney to vodafoney minutes are? I've NEVER seen the benefit of these free minutes!!!

I put up with call drop outs - call echo and feedback - and this wierd electronic grazing noise that does my head in!

Mobile Internet Speed? What's that??? Why is the connection always showing "POOR"???

If they can't look after the customer's they've got, they should be STOPPED from selling any more serv ices until they can take care of the customers they have RIGHT NOW.

Sooooooooooooooooooo glad I never signed a contract. If you've got a contract exercise your right to leave immediately as they publicly admit they cannot provide the service you're paying for. Or just keep calling and getting money off your bill each month until they get the message their service sux.

Other than when their entire global roaming network went down over Christmas a few years ago whilst I was overseas, the service has been OK. VODAFONE IS THE WORST NETWORK SERVICE IN AUSTRALIA. I SIGNED UP CONTRACT WHEN I WAS LIVING CLOSE TO LIVERPOOL RAILWAY STATION YEAR AGO. AFTER I MOVED TO WARWICK FARM I COULDNT EVEN MAKE A SINGLE CALL COMPLETELY FROM MY UNIT HOUSE BECAUSE OF THE VERY VERY POOR RECEPTION. THEY ASKED ME TO CHANGE MOBILE NETWORK SET UP TO 2G INSTEAD OF 3G , STILL NO USE. SO I SIGNED UP FOR TPG LAND LINE AND ANOTHER PREPAID SIM TO MAKE AND RECIEVE CALLS. ALL I AM DOING IS DIVERTING MY VODAFONE CALLS TO THE PREPAID SIM. IT IS VERY VERY BAD AND EXPENSIVE TO PAY COUPLE OF BILLS LIKE PREPAID,LANDLINE JUST BECAUSE OF THIS 2YEARS CONTRACT.

Signed up to a contract & received a faulty phone so I contacted Vodafone & they said to me they understand this is known to be a faulty handset, they noted it all down on there system & told me that I'm entilted to a new handset to the same or less of value & told me when i have the chance to go & get the phone of my choosing from my local store, once at the store they said "NO! You're not allowed to have a new handset you need to send this one away for repairs!" so i decided to send it away, once i got it back from Vodafone they told me it was a brand new phone when in fact it was a old phone because it had scracthes all around it including a deep one on the screen & in my eyes this doesn't look like a "brand new" handset. Also agreeing with thousands of other Vodafone customers they do have very poor reception which fails to send messages of all kinds in which makes them delayed & calls arn't connected due to the poor reception of Vodafone. Vodafone is just one big joke. I have had their Mobile Broadband for three years, and oh boy.

Their monthly rollover works in a way where you need to disconnect before 12AM and reconnect after otherwise it still counts as the same day. I learned this the hard way late at night, incurring a much higher bill.

Their 3G is regularly 4 bars of 5 where I live, while a friend of mine, who lives a 15min walk away, only gets 2. So much for mobile.

The 3G falls out randomly, and needs to be pulled out physically because 'disconnecting' just freezes the program. It's not my computer either, I have had to switch computers in the last year, same thing.

I also needed a new version of the program for Windows 7, not given with the stick post release. I had to physically go to one of their stores. When I went to their site to get a backup, as I had deleted it off the flashcard, the current Windows 7 program wasn't there, I had to google the version to find it.

Also, their current '6GB' is not 6GB, it's whatever they want. I had it set for 6144MB as a limit, I got charged for excess use. Their so called 6GB seems to be really 5999MB.

Their phones are not much better. Regular falling out for no reason, going from 3 to 1 bar while in one place and their branded phones being pieces of crap that lock up all the time requiring the battery to be taken out and put back in, just after the warrenty goes.

4129 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Very at 27 Dec 2010 05:23:29 PM
Vodafone's mobile broadband coverage in Hamilton, and Lake Macquarie, specifically Belmont North, is hopeless. It is slower than dial-up. Loading a YouTube video is a fruitless activity, and I have drop-outs regularly, when load is applied by others trying to get online.
Also, I have a Vodafone mobile phone which continually drops cals after a few minutes, necessitating me to re-call - earning Vodafone another flagfall. Bastards. I must admit that when I go to my sisters' homes in Medowie, I get no service at all!

4127 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Intense at 27 Dec 2010 05:23:27 PM
If I have to listen to Lara one more time, well, I just hope I never meet the person who is that voice!!! I now actually go to Vodafone stores, ask them to ring my issues in on my behalf then leave the store to go do my errands/shopping and know that it will be at least a half hour before I'm needed back to check in on how the store person is going. I'm gobsmacked that they can't even jump the cue. Phone rage is established primarily from Vodafone experience. As a Vodafoner of over a decade (one customer service person was incredibly impressed with that) I will continue with them (only because I like the colour RED!) but I cross my fingers I never need to call because they have the most infuriating customer service I've ever experienced. AAMI is one company who answers with a human being after three rings (also a RED logoed company) - I don't believe Vodafone is any more important than AAMI. I sincerely hope that the media damage from this exposure is serious enough that Vodafone can pull finger and address it's issues as any well founded company seeking to protect itself MUST.

4123 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Sometimes i forget i have a phone at 27 Dec 2010 05:23:09 PM
I live in Coogee NSW, which is less than 10kms away from the CBD. in my apartment i have to stand in the corner of one of my rooms to be able to get 'static' reception. my gf who lives wiht me is with 3, and she happily walks around that apartment talking on her phone. when i leave my apartment i get my voicemails and txts coming through. i pay $79 q mnth for nothing. i think it is a rip off and feel horrendously cheated. I can't contact voda cause of the wait time, and when i go to their shop they give me a new sim card to try. but wait for it, they tell me i have to call 1555, which has been a big FAIL from the beginning.

Goes fro 3g automatically to HSDPa and then drops out. have to disconnect reconnect continually. Sometime I am so frustrated I switch to GPRS only and crawl at 1990s speed. .. and it still drops out.

Well i returned from holidays in nov 2010 and since then the coverage and use of internet on my phone has been painful. We took a trip to the southcoast over xmas and i am lucky i didnt need to make any urgent/emergency phone calls as i couldnt get connection and had to switch off my phone and switch it on to get network. The google map on my phone is useless as the coverage dissapears and therefore unusable. Same for the internet. This short trip made me feel i should voice my concern. Imagine a family on holiday driving along and need to make an emergency call and because of vodafone's appaling service cant connect. I thought mobile phones made life easy but not with vodafail.

4038 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is HUGE!!! at 27 Dec 2010 05:15:48 PM
I'm a 10 year veteran of vodafoney - just too lazy to change carrier coz ultimately they're all the same or they are TELSTRA - TOO EXPENSIVE.

For manoths and months now I've suffered call drop outs in Redfern NSW, On the M4 freeway anywhere near Sydney Olympic Park, and in the Parramatta area. I get appalling feedback on most calls, the echo of my voice bouncing back is painful for my hears and gives me headaches. I use the phone all the time hands free on the headset while driving and my phone call bills show how many times I have to hang up and re-dial calls - that is if the call hasn't unexpectedly dropped out by itself. Everyone who works in my building knows vodafone does not work unless near a window.

I pay $79 a month for this joke. Let's not forget the appallingly slow speed and constant 'poor' connection for mobile internet access to my laptop anywhere in Randwick

I called them on 15th December. It took over an hour from Tech Dept to billing (who tried to send me back to Tech Dept) before I was offered a $100 credit. It took until 26th December before that credit showed up on the total owing for my December bill due 30th December.

Call 'em. Make 'em give you a refund or credit. And keep doing it every month until these clowns get their infrastructure sound enough to sell more lines to new customers.

AND PUH-LEZE!!! Get their idiot sales people to stop calling me offering fantastic "new" 2-year $79 contracts with up to $660 of free calls per month when they are offering INFINITY plans - what an insult to intelligence!!!!

P!SSED ORF!!!

4032 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is extremily bad service at 27 Dec 2010 05:14:44 PM
Hi
I am so over Vodafone there billing service is a discrace i received a email bill from them saying I owed $15 odd and when I logged on to pay it told me I owed $78.99 and when I sms 1512 it told me another amount. I called the customer diservice section to be placed on hold for 45 minutes to be simply told we are not sure and ill put you through to our billing department.
I spoke to a woman there who said she would look into it and asked for my password (not my 4 digit access pin) but my password and when I refused she said well i cant help you and hung up on me.......
If Vodafone cant look into a billing problem where do we go from here.
As for the service in Fairfield my phone has 1 bar and im told its simply my fault and upgrade the phone. if thats the case I will ask Apple whens the new IPhone 5 coming out. LOL

4031 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is chages at 27 Dec 2010 05:14:41 PM
Already added about 200 words earlier, but something more comes to mind.
Been with Vodafone for 8 years now. What I see has happened over the years, is:
1. Introduction of cap plans - fine.
2. More value for the same cap - not bad, I am impressed.
3. Call charges and EXCLUSIONS: Have noticed this over the years that although 1 and 2 is done, the call charges have almost doubled. I remember paying 1c/sec + 25c flagfall. NOW, calls are MORE expensive, FLAGFALL is HIGHER.
ARE we really getting more value, or same value in a different form?
I think thats misleading as well - you tell customers they are getting more value, but really you are not, considering all exlcusions, extra fees and charges, credit card fees while paying your bill, etc etc. NEVER before did I ever pay a CC fee, for paying my bills via CC. Why now? I though we are moving ahead.

4025 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is slow internet at 27 Dec 2010 05:13:29 PM
my internet loading time seems to be very slow and considering I'm a new user of a "smart phone" i thought this was the norm - My friend is on another network and has now shown me that on her phone the pages should load quicker.
at first i thought it was the result of using too much of the the internet credit, but when i checked my usage it wasnt the case.
Also i found the use of the navagation device very slow too. I was hoping to use my new "smart phone" as a "navman" but found it took to long to registers where i was at the time.
I thought it was my Nokia x6 - but now it all makes sense.
Oh and one more thought - i was sent a sms to my phone claiming the bill had been emailed to me (it seemed a little over priced) and when i checked my email account ( to work out why the cost of the bill was so high) the bill had not actually been emailed to me.
I think i may need to consider another network - its ashame i'm on this stupid plan for the next 7 months :(

This time last year I brought a vodafone from the outlet in Blacktown I advised them that I was a agency nurse and would be moving around Australia a lot and needed phone access, they assured me that this would not be a problem and I would get cover so I took out the minimum contract which was for 2 years. Eventually my job took me to a small town in north NSW where I found that I couldnt get cover so I rang vodafone from a landline and explained my predicament the person I spoke to was very helpful he advised that i wouldnt have to complete my contract and because I had been with them already for as long as I had I wouldnt have to send my phone back because of the nature of my contract. 4 months later I get a call from a collection agency saying that I owe vodafone in excess of $2000:00 dollars because I had not completed the original contract. I rang Vodafone I explained the original conversation to them. They are now saying that they want the phone back I have offered to pay for the phone but they will now accept this. And have said if they don't get the phone back I will have to come up with the full amount of $2000:00.

Its been useless since mid 2080 when they went 3g in Wollongong.
Vodafail claim they could not stabilise the signal, countless complaints, phone call's, emails all ignored. Staff could not care less.
My call charges have gone through the roof because of the continued dropouts and poor reception.
Then they claim I agreed to a 2 yr contract when I requested 1yr and recieved phone purchase credit for 1yr.
Its immoral what going on and surely unlawful.
We are all keeping our side by paying our bills yet they do honour their side of the contract.

27 Dec 2010 06:21:26 PM: I too live on the northern end of the Central Coast NSW and whilst the phone regularly drops out on calls, I find the modem much worse. The modem constantly drops out and then gives me a message 'No Device" or %u201CSearching for Device%u2019 when it is sitting in the same USB port. I have to physically move the modem to another port to get it to work again. It takes a least 5-10 mins to connect again! Very Frustrating!!! In fact I just heard it drop out now. Yes i am having network problems with vodafone but i have also been a customer of the companies you list as an alternative and they to have the same problems. After looking at this website i have 2 questions.
1) Is the owner connected to any rival telco network?
2) is the owner of this website earning affiliate commissions on clicks to the alternative companies this site recommends?
Reason why i ask is because Telstra and Optus and Virgin and all the others have exactly the same connection issues as vodafone, only difference is Telstra and Optus charge much higher fees.
And i am not a vodafone employee... Dont be fooled everyone they are all the same, we are now using more smartphones than ever before and all networks are suffering.
27 Dec 2010 05:05:41 PM: I am really sorry they are NOT all the same. I have a friend on Vodafone and it is always HIS call that drop out in the middle. No-one else who calls me has this problem.

Yes they all have issues, none is perfect but Vodafone hit rock bottom once they introduced their unlimited plans. Their network was swamped and they have not yet recovered
27 Dec 2010 05:06:10 PM: this is complete BULLSHIT Vodafone is the worst of them , I have tried Telstra service and Optus and both are MILES better than Vodafone!!!
27 Dec 2010 05:11:03 PM: This is like the fifth time you have posted this. Big deal if he's making a buck off this. WE DON'T CARE.

VODAFONE HAS BEEN RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS AND WE ARE PISSED.

CLASS ACTION HERE WE COME.
27 Dec 2010 05:13:52 PM: PS I have changed changed to Telstra and coverage and data is BRILLIANT. Like super awesome. I feel like I've entered the modern era. Your statement was misleading. I have not had one call drop or data issue since I joined Telstra.

Making statements like that is spurious activity. I would suggest that the moderator seek the IP address of the above post and send it to Telstra and Optus. Just for fun.
27 Dec 2010 05:20:08 PM: The only scientific, fair and factual way is to compare similar websites with as much energy put into them as this one and see if Vodafone really is the worst. So computer gurus what we need is a telstrafail and optusfail website and heavily promote it. Adam (bloke that started this site) was also let out of his contract graciously according to an article in the online-Age as soon as he asked so I wonder what his real problem with Vodafone is that he would continue this...

I have tried to get out of my plan TWICE, but they said i have to pay out my contract (wich i only started in may & i have been having reception issues most of the time ive had the phone).
What made me draw the last staw was early december 2010. I have been uneployed for months now. I finally caught a break through this recuitment agency for some contract work. but seeing as i had NO RECEPTION i missed the call, so the agency left a voice mail message. which i didnt recieve until 4 days later!!
I lost the job contact. I cant pay my bills now.. It makes me think, if i take it further will vodafone back pay me for all the money i lost??!!!
I HATE VODAFONE!! THIS MUST BE LOOKED INTO AND ACTION MUST BE TAKEN!!!

3968 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Impossible Reception at 27 Dec 2010 05:01:51 PM
My parents live on the South Coast in NSW and both have mobile phones which offer almost ZERO reception. My partner and I have 2 other service carriers and have no problems at all in that same area.
My folks are now visiting us in Metung, Victoria and have ZERO reception. Our home line operates on a mobile network as do both our internet connections - no problems with either of these service providers.
Being of an older generation, my folks thought it was them. Little do they realise it is the result of the VODAFAIL service!!

3962 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Extreme Fail at 27 Dec 2010 05:00:56 PM
For over 3 years now we've put up with absolute disgraceful reception. Considering that we live in a good area, hubby works Silverwater way and has the same problem we have here at home. We have dropouts almost every phone call, people can hear us we can't hear them. Text messages won't send or delay in sending. Phone needs to be turned on and off a few times to get messages to send. There is 3 of us on a plan together and this just isn't good enough we pay over $200 a month for vodafone. For absolute useless unreliable service. I suffer anaphylaxis and need to have good reliable service as I'm allergic to many things severely. Vodafone used to be a great company with awesome phone upgrades and fantastic service...What happened????? Now they give the crapiest phones on upgrades. My husband has been with vodafone for approximately 16 years. We will not be renewing our contracts when they finally end next year. Vodafone absolutely disgraceful

always dropping out. SOme indian call centre worker has told me to execpt these drop outs until January. Had no reception for 3 days straight and was told to get my phone working I need to turn off my 3G settings. What a load of Shit?
Will not be paying any bills for Vodafone and Im happy to swap providsers asap. I cant get a simply amount off anyone in vodafone as to how much is left on my contract with those tools. 20 minutes on hold, phone dropped out. On hold again for an expected time of 12-20minutes. After holding a second time for 14minutes, vodafone service cut out again. I gave up. They suck. Everyone I know in Cronulla cant get calls in or out a majority of the time. DO NOT PAY YOUR BILLS!!! They are a scam!

3955 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Shocker... at 27 Dec 2010 04:59:59 PM
I have been with their prepaid service and didn't have many problems with them before. However later on, every time I go a few km out of the city, my phone becomes useless - due to NO reception. Good luck to those who get in trouble, have an accident, need assistance, get sick - what a crap service! I'd rather leave my phone at home - what's the point of carrying something you cannot use anyway?!?!? Their prices seem reasonable when compared to other providers, but seriously - I'm paying to be connected to the world!!! I'm sick of calling Lara, and even Lara calling me!!!! and not getting anything resolved. I have bought myself an optus sim today, and just happened to read the SMH article on Vodafone. I think Vodafone either needs to get its act together or disappear alltogether.

3954 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is Extremely poor at 27 Dec 2010 04:59:40 PM
For the past six months I've been getting extremely bad signals and dropouts. Freinds have reported receiving my texts up to 24hrs late!! I'm on the $49 cap and it's eeven worse when making vodafone to vodafone calls, keep dropping out & you have to keep reconnecting so that's how you use up your cap. Before dialling mobile shows full bars & soon as you press the send button you lose half the strength, UNBELIEVABLE!!! When I get calls sometimes I can hear the caller but they can't hear me, WHAT THE HELL VODAFONE??? Bunch of CROOKS & MONGRELS. I'm self employed and in the last 2 months I've lost 3 jobs because calls didn't come through. Thanks Vodafone for your PATHETIC SERVICE!!!
