Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

9891 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is way at 2 Jan 2011 08:48:52 AM
I signed onto a contract for my mobile (paying exactly double what I had previously on pre-paid) only to find my Balwyn North home had zero reception for all 3 of our vodafone serviced mobiles, nor my partners internet key. We were constantly going to cafes nearer the city, driving up the road with laptops and phones to make calls or do business online. We were told by vodafone we needed to get a booster, as we lived on a hill (??!) however this dismal inconvenience continued when we moved to Edithvale. I recently purchased an internet key in Frankston (why oh why??!!) thinking as it was a mini city there would surely be a tower nearer... aaa nope. It had just been removed. When I went back to the store to attempt a refund, I was re-directed to the ombudsman, as they had to go through the same channels as myself when making service enquiries. I feel vodafone even SELLING their kits in an unserviced area is FRAUD. I had to 'hand- in' an online assignment recently, and couldn't get any bars on my laptop to send it in. I ended up driving around desperately for an hour trying to find reception, and when I'd finally driven halfway to the city, (checking the bars on my laptop all the way)it was already too late, and I lost 10% off my mark. On Boxing Day, I had an online exam for the same subject, and my internet connection dropped out for 20min of the allocated 60min I had to complete the exam. I didn't finish the exam. I currently have zero reception inside my home (as usual) and only switch my phone on when I go out to avoid frustration. I've written to the ombudsman regarding both issues, but cannot do anything about lost marks. Inconvenience and frustration from a basic communication service supposed to make my life EASIER!! My relationship with vodafone ends with my contract this month. Biggest waste of $.
