Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

20975 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Can't use phone at all - no coverage at 27 Feb 2012 02:58:51 PM
We have been on Vodafone for at least 15 years with no major problems until last year. In about October, the phone started to have a lot of interference and I blamed the handset which was replaced in early December. Since then, we have realised that we can't understand anyone who rings because the voice is garbled. We live in Townsville, a city of approx 180,000 people so you would expect reasonable service. I can get reception if I drive 25 minutes and sit on the beach! Sound like a great idea but you can't do that 24 hours a day. When will they fix it? Who knows? Any ideas for a solution?
27 Feb 2012 04:47:07 PM: I feel your pain and as much as I like the beach it is unreasonable to travel there each day to make a phone call!

As far as your issue is concerned, have you approached VF to advise VF of the problem?

If you have and the position has not improved, then your next step is to take the matter to the TIO.

TIO contact details are found at the top of the page under the How To Complain tab.

Simple on line form takes a mere 5 minutes to complete, VF then have 10 working days to respond, the VF response may be an investigation into the network in Townsville with a set time period for improvement or other alternatives.

2 Mar 2012 12:28:02 AM: Mate, I also live in Townsville and for a major town we should at least be able to send a bloody txt. The call centre have told me I can cancel my contract because of the poor reception, all I have to do is pay for the calls I have used. Virgin mobile have same plans but with more call credit and data.
