Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

19275 Someone from ACT thinks vodafone is Epic ;) at 26 Aug 2011 10:42:39 PM
Well as I have read, I'm definitely not alone in my extreme frustration. It's the same story. I'm in ACT, the capital of Australia and I can't even get good coverage in the middle of the city. My phone drops out in the middle of phone calls, nearly every time and I'm constantly moving from one end of the house to the other to find a good coverage spot. And by good, I mean I can hear every second word that's being said. I can hardly use my aps, some nights I can't be bothered to turn my phone on and off 20 times before I can get some form of 3G network to load my game. I don't receive voice mails and pictures for days. I had a phone interview and my phone kept cutting out during it and I had to re-arrange times so I would be near a landline. My mum called during an emergency and because I was at my in-laws where I get no service at all, I couldn't get hold of her with my own phone I had to borrow a friends, who btw is with telstra. They have had no problems!!! When I joined I told them I needed good coverage and they banged on about there big plans for a wider coverage network and assured me I would be happy. With in the first couple months I had more patience trusting them when they said it was just a small issue and it would be fixed soon. Trusted them when they promised that coverage would be vastly improved and I needed to give them a bit more time. I keep trusting these people and yet nothing has been delivered and I'm about 1 more phone call drop out to throwing this phone through a window! It's extremely disappointing, I'm Paying good money every month for a service, I'm just not getting. But it's good to know I'm not the only one about to erupt into a fiery ball of hulk-like rage (lol). Anywho- I feel a bit better now and I haven't verbally attacked a poor customer rep so yep! There my mess!
1 Sep 2011 01:13:11 PM: I'm in the ACT as well. I used to have exactly the same issues as you. No service in Civic, etc. I filed a complaint with Vodafone and was eventually release from my contract, just had to send the phone back. Fair enough.
I switched to Telstra, new phone and a good contract,I'm on their $59 a month plan. I havent a single issue since I signed up 2 months ago. My SMS always go through the first time, never ever have dropped calls. So Its up to you to bitch and complain to them to let you out of the contract. Dont believe anything Vodafone tells you, stand your ground that you want out otherwise they will stuff you around. Tehy'll most likely offer your plan for 1/2 price for 3 months, etc. But your problems will still be there.
