Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

19096 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is still sucking at 8 Aug 2011 02:45:03 PM
when will they fix it!!!???
8 Aug 2011 09:02:53 PM: It sounds like they've started working on fixing it but it really depends what area you are in. Might be worth checking if you are in an area that has the hope of getting better soon: http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/aboutvodafone/network/index.htm

9 Aug 2011 12:46:30 AM: I checked that. It is all very weak info. No known faults in the area etc...
Plus the 'Troubleshooting' link is not correct on some of the pages.

from http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/aboutvodafone/network/index.htm

it directs you to

http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/service-and-repair/the-service-centre/troubleshooting-guide/index.htm

but from http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/aboutvodafone/network/network-850/index.htm

it directs you to

http://www.vodafone.com.au/help/index.htm

which is a crappy knowledge base 'tool'.

They can't even get their website sorted !?

The trouble shooting routine is vague and weak and puts the blame on devices or 'coverage'.
The problem is not coverage when the network 'forgets' you every now and again.
No matter where I am or what device I am using I have the same problem with Vodafone. Make a call = fine. After a while, go to make a call 'network busy'.
Try to receive a call 'busy tone'. Try to access data - no response. Try to send txt - won't send. 'Reboot phone' as suggested by Vodafail - all comes good.
So do I have to periodically (every hour or so ??) re boot my phone ???
9 Aug 2011 02:09:43 PM: Yea at best that is very bad web design and at worst it is misleading. If you've already filed a complaint with Vodafone and not gotten anywhere then its time for the TIO. If you want to stick it out on the Vodafone network then you should ask to be compensated for the poor service.
