Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

18059 Someone from NSW thinks vodafone is They S.H.I.T. me at 20 May 2011 04:23:08 PM
I made the big mistake of signing up on a 24 month plan with a new iPhone 4 last week at the Miranda NSW store, 2 hours later as I was driving our of Sydney for a week away the front facing camera stopped working. Wednesday night i called India on 1555 they told me I could take the phone into the store and they would swap it, I went there on Thursday morning they were closed, I couldnt call the store direct as the phone was not being answered. I went into the store again today and they refused to swap my phone, i called my new friend in India again 1555. Steve (the indian) told me to take the phone to Parramatta and they would swap it, I arrive at Parramatta, no they wont swap it. I again call my BFF in India, this time I get a female, she tells me to take it to Blacktown, I go to Blacktown they wont do it either. So at this point in time Ive travelled from one side of Sydney to the other and the only thing Ive achieved is high blood pressure, low battery on the new one camera iPhone 4, wasted 4 hours of my life that I will never get back, and used half a tank of fuel and $5 for Parking. I leave Blacktown and receive a call from India, telling me to go back to Blacktown as they will speak with them again and have the phone replaced, nope they wont do it again. So now I call the Chatswood office, after 10 minutes I get the receptionist who takes my details and will get someone to call me back, 4pm today an Aussie from Tasmania calls me, still wont swap my phone. SCREW YOU VODAFONE YOU SHIT ME TO TEARS.

No I have to make a Genius Bar appointment in the Sydney Apple store, I know they will sort this out.

Lesson learnt today, only buy directly from Apple and Screw Vodafone.
20 May 2011 10:49:49 PM: I thought that all phones were on a 30 day return if they are Dead on Arrival (DOA), as your phone is not fit for purpose surely it fits into the DOA criteria?

Also mysterious that your BFF and others at Vodafail have advised you to return to (several) stores for a replacement yet the stores refuse, perhaps an illustration of great Vodafail teamwork, team dynamics and team organisation.

Suggest off to the TIO for you, details found at the top of the page on the How To Complain tab.

Suggest you do it sooner and not later.

22 May 2011 09:49:02 PM: There's a 28 day swap period, however with all iPhones they must first go back to Apple to be assessed. The swap is then generally authorised within 2-3 days.
