Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

18049 Someone from VIC thinks vodafone is Not my voice message!!! at 19 May 2011 09:21:23 PM
I'm in a bit of a pickle. When you dial my mobile number, my mobile rings... no sweat... problem is, if I miss the call, it goes through to someone else's voicemail message. To top it off, my mobile does not notify me that I have a message to retrieve. I dial 121 and apparently, there are no new messages! I know there are as I have left messages myself. I contacted customer service and as you would expect, it is as simple as turn off, turn back on. NO IT IS NOT!!! Even after removing the battery and rebooting, this problem still exists. I am told to contact customer service again between 8am and 8pm tomorrow as no-one can help me now. What happened? Where are my messages going? Will I receive the other lady's messages?
19 May 2011 11:39:39 PM: A similar thing happened to me when I was with Vodafone. When someone rang me my phone wouldn't ring and it went to voicemail but I never received a message. Vodafone didn't know what was wrong or how to fix it. If they still can't fix it then go to the TIO if Vodafone doesn't let you out of your contract. Then you can switch to another provider.

Goodluck!

20 May 2011 11:57:00 AM: This is a problem. You should not need to go to the TIO every time something bad happens. You are abusing a system meant for legitimate high level escalations like medical/life threatening/100% Vodafone's fault. I am pretty sure they won't say no to a replacement handset or an alternative. It sounds like it would be the phone to me. You were probably told to contact the operations centre later due to skeleton staff at late nights (anytime after 8pm depending on locations) The Vodafail moderation team SHOULD NOT be releasing TIO contact detail nor promoting it the way they do.
20 May 2011 12:52:27 PM: Umm.... 11:57:00 AM if voda doesn't let you out of your contract and won't solve your problem then you go to the TIO. It says clearly on their website.

"The Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman is a free and independent alternative dispute resolution scheme for small business and residential consumers in Australia with unresolved complaints about their telephone or internet services." http://www.tio.com.au/default.asp

AND they release their contact details on the front page of the website
