Dear visitor,

Since its inception Vodafail.com has made a significant contribution towards raising awareness of the problems and issues faced by Vodafone customers.

Vodafone Australia customers have had the opportunity to voice their concerns, their fears and their troubles from every corner of Australia and beyond our borders. You have gathered the courage to stand up for your rights as consumers and to make your voice heard.

Each and every person who shared their story should have a sense of pride in this achievement and the changes that have occurred since the start of Vodafail.com.

More recently, traffic to Vodafail.com has declined significantly. Having achieved the goal of raising awareness and promoting concrete action in early 2011, we have now reached the point of closing Vodafail to new complaints. The site will remain online for as long as possible as a reminder and an example of what is possible when we share our experiences.

It has been a privilege to run this initiative and I'm am forever grateful for the help and support I've received. In particular I would like to thank Melissa, David and Travis for their continued efforts over the past 15 months. I'm also thankful and humbled by the support of ACCAN, Choice magazine and a wide range of media outlets, blogs and websites.

You can still browse existing stories and find out how to file a complaint if you are experiencing problems.

Until next time,

Adam Brimo

14817 Someone from QLD thinks vodafone is Unbelievable at 28 Jan 2011 11:15:15 AM
Recently (About 3 weeks ago) I ordered an Iphone 4 over the phone with Vodafone. It had all been arranged and I was aware of all the details of the plan I was agreeing too, I was told it would take 5 - 10 days until my phone arrived. However, when I rang the following day so I could have my tracking number my order had somehow been cancelled, so for some unknown reason Vodafone decided to cancel my order and not notify me of this! So when I asked why the original order had been cancelled I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then the operator says to me, "Okay so I can process that order again for you," I said, "Wait, why didn't it go through in the first place? Thats what I was on hold for 15 minutes waiting to know?" So he replies "I dont know, i'll process the order again."
So thinking Vodafone would get their act together and my Iphone would actually be sent off, I agreed to process my order again - with all the exact same details to my contract. He then told me he would call me in 24 hours once it had gone through and been sent, to reassure me I am getting for what I asked.
Four days later I rang Vodafone - It still hasn't gone through, and no one can figure out why. "The investigation wil take another 24 hours" I was told!

So ringing about every second day now for 3 weeks I keep getting told 24 hours!! I finally decided to ask for the supervisor so I could hopefully get this all resolved and my Iphone be sent out. He is just as hopeless as the rest of the operators and cannot tell me WHY or WHEN this issue will be resolved. He tells me it has been escalated to the highest priority (Ive heard this about 3 times already) and he will call me in 6 working hours once he finds out what the issue is.
A day later I call back to find out what the hell is going on, and surprise surprise, I just got told they are going to figure it out and call me back in 20 minutes. It's been an hour!

It's not the fact that I even want a new phone anymore, Im so sick and tired of Vodafone fucking me around, at this point in time they have stuffed me around so much I just want to cancel my current contract and get the hell out of Vodafone and go with a new service!!!!!

Can anyone help me at all?!?!
28 Jan 2011 12:01:36 PM: Check out the 'How To Complain' link at the top of the page, you will no doubt need to escalate to the TIO, but follow all of the steps along the way.
28 Jan 2011 01:50:21 PM: If you decide you don't want to do what is suggested. There's a total failure of consideration, contract null and void, rescind the contract based on failure of specific performance. No penalty fees and maybe lodge it with the TIO just to be safe. Shouldn't take long. Make sure you put a block on your credit card or Direct Debit to ensure they don't continue transactions. But I think the advice above sounds pretty good. Good Luck
29 Jan 2011 06:38:12 AM: If it's cancelled there is no contract, tough luck bud.
